FERNANDA FROES-PRUETT ON “LADY PLAYS THE BASS”
Brazilian Singer/Songwriter Fernanda Froes-Pruett returns to Cooper’s (inside The Best Western Plus Tree House), in Mount Shasta, California, for a unique performance on Friday, July 27, 2018.
On the first part of the show, starting at 7 PM, she will be singing and playing guitar through her usual repertoire of Acoustic Rock, Blues, R&B, Soul Music and Brazilian Music, accompanied by Dave Walas on percussion.
On the second part, however, Froes-Pruett will showcase herself as a Bassist, for the very first time, to a Northern California audience, accompanied by musicians Ryan Bouslaugh on electric guitar, and Spencer Adkisson on drums.
The “power-trio” will perform some originals from Fernanda Froes-Pruett’s two music CDs, released back in Brazil, such as “Que Pena” (by Fernanda Froes-Pruett), “O Limite” (by Fernanda Froes-Pruett & Bukassa Kabengele) and “Vila Madalena” (by Fernanda Froes-Pruett, Arthur Maia, Luis Paulo Serafim & André Madi), and some songs where the bass lines are the soul of the Music, like “Walking on the Moon” (The Police) and “Paradise” (Sade).
